Just like the many times she
had with Elphaba, silence hit
her. Silence that couldn’t be
translated. No words, just t o
feel      p a i n   uncontrollably.

❝ I would much rather plunder
a spade through my chest. ❞

Blues were now drenching
themselves with emotion as
she turned from the emerald
                woman.

❝ I would much rather be limited
with you than unlimited without you. ❞

The night was silent, too silent,                                                                                                        if possible..

❝ Wherever you tread, I wish to go. ❞

❝ Wherever you lay, I wish to be beside you. ❞

❝ When you die, I wish to be there. ❞

❝ I wish to be in no one’s arms but yours. ❞

her temperature rose again, fury returning to her as quickly
as it had subsided. she was incapable of keeping her own
mind steady anymore. CONTROL,Elphaba Thropp had
always been dead set on control. but now what? now she
had nothing, no control, none. and so, perhaps it was
GOOD, that she was now the Witch, not the girl.

“ then you are a FOOL.”

she meant it, too, in her warm blood, she meant it.
perhaps, at one time, they lay as close as lovers.
maybe, in another time and place. but then, she
never really did dwell on past or future, destiny or
love. she was the Witch, and she did not see alternate
universes, for she only had her own. and it was foolish
to even think of what could’ve or might’ve been.

“ look at you, in your glittering gowns, your stature,
your name. that’s what you got Gali –––––– Glinda.
I cannot change what either of us became, but I
can stop holding on. can you? ”
